Studio

Welcome to My Home Studio

A relaxed, welcoming space for creativity, collaboration, and great photography.

I’ve always believed that the best photographs happen when people feel comfortable, relaxed, and free to be themselves. That’s the atmosphere I’ve tried to create in my home studio.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in the Nashville area, our home is surrounded by beautiful trees and natural scenery. It’s a comfortable, welcoming place where we can collaborate, experiment with ideas, and create photographs without the hustle and bustle of a commercial studio.

And because you’re visiting my home, I want you to feel like a welcome guest from the moment you arrive.

A Little About Our Home

My wife works from home and is generally here during photo sessions, so there’s usually someone else around. You’ll also likely be greeted by Olivia, our friendly Golden Retriever, who considers welcoming visitors one of her most important responsibilities.

And there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find something freshly baked in the kitchen. We usually have homemade bread, muffins, or cookies around, and we’re always happy to share!

It’s a relaxed, friendly environment, and I hope you’ll feel right at home.

The Studio

My photography studio is a dedicated space in our home, equipped with professional lighting, a variety of backdrops, and the flexibility to create different looks and lighting styles.

The room also has large windows that provide beautiful natural light, giving us the option of working with either natural or studio lighting, depending on the photographs we’re creating.

Whether we’re shooting portraits, fashion, lifestyle, or fine art photography, the studio provides a comfortable setting where we can focus on creativity and making great images.

There’s also a large bathroom available for changing clothes, preparing for your session, and taking a few minutes for yourself whenever needed.

Beyond the Studio

One of the things I particularly enjoy about photographing here is that we’re not limited to working indoors.

Our backyard offers a beautiful natural setting with mature trees, greenery, stonework, and changing light throughout the day. It gives us plenty of opportunities for outdoor portraits, lifestyle images, and more creative photography.

We’re also fortunate to have several scenic locations near the lake, just a short distance from the house. Depending on the concept we’re working on, these locations can provide entirely different backgrounds and moods.

Having both indoor and outdoor options allows us to create a nice variety of photographs, sometimes without ever having to travel very far.

Your Comfort Comes First

I understand that visiting someone’s home for a photo shoot, especially for the first time, may feel a little unfamiliar. That’s one reason I wanted to share these photographs of our home, studio, and surroundings, so you’ll have a good idea of what to expect before you arrive.

Models are always welcome to bring a companion to their photo sessions. Whether that’s a friend, spouse, or someone else you feel comfortable having along, I have absolutely no objection.

Before any shoot, we’ll talk about the concept, wardrobe, expectations, and any personal boundaries so we’re both comfortable with what we’re creating. There’s never any pressure to pose in a way that makes you uncomfortable, and you’re always welcome to ask questions, offer ideas, or speak up about anything during our session.

Whether you’ve been modeling for years or this is your very first experience in front of a camera, my goal is the same: to make our time together enjoyable, collaborative, respectful, and creative.

I Look Forward to Meeting You!

Photography, for me, is about more than simply making pictures. It’s about meeting interesting people, sharing ideas, and creating something together that we’re both proud of.

I hope these photographs give you a little sense of the place where we’ll be working and help you feel comfortable about visiting.

I look forward to welcoming you to the studio.

And I’m pretty sure Olivia will be happy to see you, too (if she’s not asleep)!
